What is flag of normandy?

The flag of Normandy consists of two horizontal stripes: a white upper stripe and a red lower stripe. In the upper left corner, there is a golden lion surrounded by golden small dots on a blue background. This design is known as the "Three Lions of Normandy" and represents the historical connection of the region to England, as the English monarchs used to be the rulers of Normandy for a period of time. The flag was officially adopted by the regional council of Normandy in 1956.
